Down the Rabbit Hole Poodles is a small, home based Standard Poodle breeding program.
My focus is on health, temperament, structure, and raising puppies in a way that gives them a strong start before they leave for their new homes.
I put a lot of time into learning, researching, and planning because I want each litter to be raised with care and purpose.
I focus on Standard Poodles.
My breeding program is centered around Standard Poodles and the qualities I want to continue building on over time, including health, temperament, structure, movement, and overall soundness.
No. Down the Rabbit Hole Poodles does not breed doodles.
That does not mean I do not love them, because I absolutely do.
I have a Labradoodle of my own and she is an amazing dog. She has a wonderful temperament, she is a great companion, and I honestly cannot imagine my life without her.
She is spayed and very much part of my family.
When I decided what direction I wanted to take my breeding program, I chose to focus on Standard Poodles.
I love doodles. I just do not breed them.
I love Standard Poodles for their intelligence, temperament, versatility, and personality.
They are athletic, affectionate, highly trainable, and can be wonderful family companions while also excelling in activities such as obedience, scent work, rally, agility, and therapy work.
For me, it is the whole dog that makes the breed special, not just how they look.
I look at the whole dog, including health, temperament, structure, movement, pedigree, and overall development.
A dog being kept as a future prospect does not automatically mean that dog will be bred.
Yes.
Dogs being considered for breeding must complete appropriate health testing and also mature into dogs that are a good fit for the program.
If a dog does not meet those standards, that dog will not be bred.
My breeding dogs may be registered with organizations such as AKC, UKC, or CKC depending on the individual dog.
Registration is important, but it is only one part of deciding whether a dog belongs in a breeding program.
Color and pattern are fun, but they are not my first priority.
Health, temperament, structure, and compatibility between the parents come first.
Absolutely.
I love seeing my puppies grow and encourage families to stay in touch.
I am happy to answer questions about training, grooming, development, and the normal ups and downs of raising a puppy.
